We combined with David Quinn’s open singles in blustery and cold conditions over a long course.

Bernard Byrne was just outside the prizes with 15 pts and was unlucky when his card was drawn for the pick out but he was not present (away on a golf trip).

Remember when playing in 18 hole singles you may play either front or back for the TN but you MUST declare to your marker in advance.

 

Joe Cull and John Massey have free entry next week due to a problem on the course.

Pick outs will be replaced by class prizes, Junior, Veteran, Class 1, 2(a) 2 (b), 2 (c) as per draw made on 28th.

Our Thursday Fourball competition was played in some of the best weather of the week with the easterly breeze dropping and giving a welcome rise to the temperatures which reflected in some great scoring.

The course is really beginning to take shape and the new additions are adding to the challenge. Peter Oppermann, our new Caterer took care of business in the catering department and everyone enjoyed good food and good company afterwards.

Runners Up: J. Fallon (10) & P. Hyland (+1) Castleknock with + 4 (Last 9)

Third: G. Romeri (13) & P. O’ Flaherty (28) Clontarf with + 4 (Last 6)

Fourth: P. Mahon (13) & P. Lynsky (19) with + 4 (Last 9)

Fifth: A. Delaney (10) & A. Durran (19) with +4

Sixth: R. Carberry (7) & J. McGregor (19) Carton House with + 3 (Last 3)

The results could not have been any closer, well done to our eventual winners the Duggan’s as they feature again.

Over 70 players took part and we look forward to an even bigger turn out next week as the evenings get longer and warmer as does the fun.
